Going Nude with a little Glitter

Yes im talking about my nails :)

I felt like doing a nude polish today and then spicing it up a little with some glitter.

these are the 2 polishes I used

And here is the finished look with top coat added  (photos taken in natural light with no flash)

I really like how they turned out

what do you think ?

So I mixed two polishes together to create a very beautiful eye catching polish..its not a bright spring color but its not a dark color either.

So these are the 2 polishes i chose to use...I first applied 2-3 coats of this metal color from finger paints- the name of the color is - Meet me at the Met

Then I applied One thick coat of this blue sparkling polish from Nfu-Oh- it doesnt have a name but he number is - NFU53

When your done apply your top coat and this is what you will have-

I love this combo...but as usual the camera really doesnt do the finished color any justice

but what do you think??

Happy Easter..and Easter Nail Art Experiment

First off I want to wish you all a very happy and safe Easter!!...I hope its filled with great fun,people and of course Candy!!!

And I also just wanted to share with you a little experiment I tried doing with acrylic...I had this idea of an easter basket nail design pop into my head and instead of painting i decided to try making one out of brown acrylic...then add shading and lighting with acrylic paints

Here is what i ended up with...what you think???

I know the egg looks like its off but that was an after thought..but other then that what do you all think??

In Memory of QueenBmakeup

I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing the most wonderful,caring,giving woman!! The one and ONLY QueenBmakeup..a.k.a Ali.
To know this woman was just a blessing and a great joy! .If ever you had a problem she was always willing to give you a listening ear and talk to you if you wanted.She had a contagious laugh and always had a way of cheering you up.
I met her last year ..I wish i had gotten to know her longer as i know everyone elses whos life was touched by her wishes they did too. I loved to watch her youtube videos..such talent!! but her talent was more then just makeup..i swear anything she got her hands on she mastered!! and she liked to watch my nail art videos..I once sent her a few items for nail art..and she told me that her and her niece did each others nails,even posted photos sometimes of her nails.
When i found out i was pregnant Ali was the first person I told (except for my husband) and she was soooooooooooo happy for me..i was in shock,didnt want to believe it ..i just never expected to be pregnant again.but Ali the wonderful friend that she was talked to me about it and was able to change me from being scared to excited.

I will NEVER forget her,our friendship and the happy memories i have of her.

So in my own way I wanted to do a tribute/ honor her memory...so I decided to get crafty and create something special that i could wear on my person...so this it what i made

I either want to turn this into a pendant or a ring

and this MU she did inspired the colors for the flower

I began with a white glittery acrylic powder and shaped out a diamond

once that dried i encased it in clear acrylic powder and then filed the shape and smoothed it out

Next i mixed purple,pink and white acrylic powders and sculpted a flower

then get a little black acrylic and lightly outline the flower like this

Next i used 2 different shades of green acrylic powders and made leafs

then using clear acrylic i applied the leafs beside the flower

with clear acrylic apply to center of flower and while wet apply gold beads

with white acrylic i then sculpted out a banner

Once that dried i glued it on under the flower....then with a black and silver mix and clear acrylic I applied those around the banner and up around the flower

then with white and black acrylic paint I painted the banner

and lastly with clear UV gel,I applied that over the entire design then put it under my UV lamp for a few minutes.


And here is the finished piece

An angel has returned to heaven ..she touched so many lifes!!...and while she is not here with us in body...her spirit remains and she will live on in our memories!!!

Easter Nail Art

So I just did my nails today..played around with acrylic which i havent done in awhile and had fun with it...they are an Easter Nail Design.....After seen a video on Youtube that the talented Robin Mosses did..her design gave me an idea for my own and this is what I did

Polishes used where 2 of my new Nfu-Oh polishes ..the black one and hologram one ( i cant think of the numbers but check my last post for the color numbers)
Also used white acrylic powder...aswell as black and white acrylic paints

what do you think??

Nfu-Oh Nail Polish Haul with swatches

Last week I placed an order with  Fabuloustreet.com .
I bought some Nfu-Oh polishes...Ive been wanting them for awhile now but because they cost $12.50 a bottle I kept putting it off as I think thats alot for a bottle of polish...BUT the polish addict in me got the better of me and made me order..lol

I cant remember the last time I spent that much on a bottle of polish..and even though I LOVE these polishes I still think they are a little over priced,and as for getting more anytime soon I prob wont anytime soon just because of the price...but they really are beautiful polishes!

So here is the 4 I bought and have also included swatches

Small Jesse's Girl Cosmetics haul

So at long last I have finally found some Jesse's Girl Cosmetics!! I was out of town and stopped at a pharmacy and to my shock I saw them!! so of course i had to snag me some..Didnt get much but know that i know where to find them now!!

didnt do anything fancy to my nails today....just felt like wearing some straight polish..no designs

I used these two polishes...

I put two coats of the Orly on first and then 2-3 coats of a polish from The Color Workshop--sadly it doesnt have a name..I picked it up around Christmas time from Walmarts gift section they do have..it was a box set of different polishes


but here is the finished look with a top coat

It has a great shine full of sparkle...what do you think?

New zebra Rolling Makeup Case

So hubby bought me a new makeup case awhile ago...I love my old one but just wasnt big enough for my growing Makeup collection....

this is what i got...I have already put my makeup in it to show how much it holds..and i have lots of room empty room to add more :)

SpringTime Bloom Nail Art + Tutorial

Heres another spring time design i came up with..In this i used only acrylic paints-no polish but it can be doe with both.

At first glance it might seem hard to do but when you break it dont it really isnt to hard...a steady hand,some patience and you shouldnt have a problem!!

Nail Art Haul from Sheba Nails

I did some online shopping this past week at    http://www.shebanails.com/    ...didnt buy a tone of stuff but they sold some pretty interesting items I was really interested in and have been for some time..I had never shopped from them before so i didnt know what to expect but I have to say im very happy..less then a week after placing my order i got my items in the mail. Shipping wasnt the cheapest..close to $10 but compared to other online stores Its pretty good.

soooooo what did I get ...well this is my Haul!!

Not alot of stuff like I said but these will keep me busy for a little while :)




I got some Odorless Acrylic Liquid (monomer)...have never tried it before...so very excited to try that out

I got these 2 BEAUTIFUL mixtures....im thinking these are best used with acrylics though but they should work with none acrylic designs too..i will experiment...there are many different color choices to choose from..I only got 2 because I wanted to see exactly what i was buying and now that i know i can see another shopping spree happening..lol

Now these are what i was most interested in trying and have wanted to buy these for awhile now ..they are Gel Nail Art Pens...but wasnt sure if they were what i wanted so I finally took the plunge and bought them.Normally I would have just bought 2-3 BUT there was so many beautiful colors i wanted I ended up getting a bunch of them

they work just like a regular writing pen except they are for nails....once they dry you must put a top coat over them as the design you just did will come off but its no biggie...best i can describe is they are like and dry like acrylic paints...once dried and left without a topcoat it will crack and fall off in parts ... but I have been playing around with them and i really love them!..you do need a steady hand so I suggest making sure your arms are comfortably resting on something when using these.

And lastly.......I didnt expect this but Sheba Nails was very generous in sending me a free sample along with my order...its an acrylic shimmery powder that looks very nice...and i want to add that the sample size is VERY generous!!!!
